Celebrating the 3rd sector in Tameside – the T3SC AGM
Early warning! The T3SC Annual General Meeting (AGM) this
year will take place on the afternoon of Wednesday 14 October. We know that AGMs
can be really dull – but we think this will be different.
The theme of the AGM will be ‘Celebrating the 3rd sector in Tameside’, with lots
of opportunities for networking and stands from local groups demonstrating their
wares.
Please book the date in your diaries NOW – more details will follow in mid
September.
Tony Okotie, Director T3SC
VOLCON – the network for managers and chief officers
2009 will undoubtedly present a
number of challenges to the voluntary and community sector, nationally and
locally. VOLCON (Voluntary Chief Officers Network)
provides an opportunity for managers and staff in senior positions to discuss
(and respond) to those challenges, network with colleagues facing similar
challenges and gain peer support.
Over the last year approximately 20 different organisations
locally have benefited from VOLCON.
Who is VOLCON for?
VOLCON is the Tameside network open to any chief officers, deputies or
managers from voluntary or community organisations operating in Tameside.
What's in it for me?
-
A nice buffet lunch and a chance to escape the office
-
An opportunity to meet and network with colleagues
-
Policy and information briefings and updates relevant to your organisation
-
Occasional guest speakers on subjects relevant to the local sector
-
An opportunity to outline your needs and issues, and how T3SC can help represent your views and support your organisation
-
Updates on current funding and tendering opportunities
2009 VOLCON dates for your diaries
-
Thursday, 10 September
-
Thursday, 10 December
Meetings will start at 12 noon until 2pm. A buffet lunch will be available from
11.45am.
