T3SC staff's favourite resources:
‘I
use Voluntary but not amateur a lot as It’s a handy size to
take with you and gives you a useful starting place for most
situations. I usually use this as a first reference point.'
- Liz, Business Development Manager T3SC
'The Complete Guide to Business and Strategic Planning for Voluntary Organisations' I love the step by step guide, there are very useful exercises you can try yourself and its so clearly presented that anyone can use it even if they are a beginner to the subject.’ - Liz, Business Development Manager T3SC
'Funder Finder:
the up to date funding resource that allows you to search for funders of
all kinds and gives relevent information about their criteria,
deadlines, etc. A great place to start when you need funding for your
group or organisation.' -
Dawn,
Development
Worker T3SC
'Voluntary but not Amateur:
Has all the information you need to start up and run an organisation in
the correct way. Gives advice on legal structures, constitutions, health
and safety, employment law, etc.' -

T3SC Information sheets
We have also developed helpful information sheets (1 double sided
sheet of A4) to guide you through everything to setting up a
constitution, finding funding to publicity.
The T3SC Toolkit
contains factsheets that have been specially written for community
and voluntary groups and are intended to be a introduction to key
topics. We hope you will find them useful.
T3SC can work with your group to help you make a difference and do the things you want. If you would like to know more about any of the subjects covered in the toolkit or any of the other ways we can assist you please contact Naomi Creed, 0161 339 4985.

How your Council works - A handy guide for community groups
This guide is published jointly by NAVCA, IDeA and Urban Forum with the support of the National Empowerment Partnership to provide information on how local authorities work and what they are responsible for. It is designed to help people understand what their council does and help community groups have a greater say in local decision making.
