The aims of the Support and Development team are

  • to improve the capacity and quality of third sector groups in Tameside
     
  • to enable third sector groups to widen their access to information, practical support services and facilities

The Support and Development Team provide the core capacity building, information and support. We deliver support in setting up a group, getting constituted and registering as a charity, funding information and advice, putting together a funding application and help in dealing with organisation management issues.

We also help with putting together strategic or business plans and facilitating organisational reviews to enable groups to plan more effectively for the future.

  • Services on offer include one to one advice sessions, training, organisation review and planning and organisation briefings.
     
  • Support and development information services include email alerts, the T3SC toolkit, The T3SC Newsletter and E-newsletter and mailouts.
     
  • Issues covered by the team include setting up a new group, putting together a constitution, management committees, legal issues, charity registration, managing staff, financial management, funding, funding strategies, business plans and strategic plans, monitoring and evaluation, quality assurance, marketing and more - basically, if you are a voluntary or community group and need a hand to achieve your aims contact us and we will do our best to help you.
     
  • T3SC have a resource room which includes a comprehensive library of books, periodicals and leaflets relevant to the third sector. It also houses three open access computers, including Funderfinder software and translation packages. Other practical resources include meeting rooms for hire and low cost photocopying.
