resources

T3SC have a resource room which includes a comprehensive library of books, periodicals and leaflets relevant to the third sector.

We have resources to cover all your groups needs. There is information on everything from training opportunities, how to recruit and manage volunteers, funding handbooks and details on specific funders to managing buildings.

Here are some of the comments from T3SC staff on their favourite resources:

I use Voluntary but not amateur a lot as It’s a handy size to take with you and gives you a useful starting place for most situations.  I usually use this as a first reference point.'  - Liz, Business Development Manager T3SC

'The Complete Guide to Business and Strategic Planning for Voluntary Organisations' I love the step by step guide, there are very useful exercises you can try yourself and its so clearly presented that anyone can use it even if they are a beginner to the subject.’  - Liz, Business Development Manager T3SC

'Funder Finder: the up to date funding resource that allows you to search for funders of all kinds and gives relevent information about their criteria, deadlines, etc. A great place to start when you need funding for your group or organisation.' - Dawn, Support Worker T3SC

'Voluntary but not Amateur: Has all the information you need to start up and run an organisation in the correct way. Gives advice on legal structures, constitutions, health and safety, employment law, etc.'  - Dawn, Support Worker T3SC

'If the building was burning down I think I’d take the Adult Services resource pack…….it contains lots of up to date information regarding TMBC Adult Services… - Jane, Community Networker (Health) T3SC

The resource room also houses three open access computers, including Funderfinder software and translation packages.

We have also developed helpful information sheets (1 double sided sheet of A4) to guide you through everything to setting up a constitution, finding funding to publicity.
The T3SC Toolkit contains 16 factsheets. They have been specially written for community and voluntary groups and are intended to be a introduction to key topics. We hope you will find them useful.

T3SC can work with your group to help you make a difference and do the things you want. If you would like to know more about any of the subjects covered in the toolkit or any of the other ways we can assist you please contact Naomi Creed, 0161 339 4985.
