What happens next?
Send your completed applications back to T3SC by 30 September either by post to T3SC, St Michael's court, St Michael's Square, Stamford Street, Ashton-under-Lyne, OL6 6XN, or electronically to Stuart Vaughan on stuart.vaughan@t3sc.org
 

There will be an exciting event on 17 October where all applicants will make a short presentation to each other about their projects. Applicants will then vote on each other’s projects, and the ones that hit the criteria best will be funded. Don’t worry if you are not successful on the day, T3SC staff will be there to help you identify other potential sources of funding for your project.

Health is for Life Community Grant Scheme 09/10
 

Who for?
Health is for Life grants are aimed at community groups, voluntary sector organisations. Funding is available to develop new projects that will help improve the health of local people in Tameside and Glossop.
Grant amount:
Grants up to £5,000 can be used to support a wide range of different activities but must have a clear link to health.
Deadline:
Please note, there will be no Round 2 of the scheme. The next Round (Round 3) will open in December 2009.

Youth Opportunity Fund Tameside

We’ve been awarded £300,000 to fund young people’s projects all over Tameside. If you are aged 13-19 years living in Tameside and have ideas on how you or your group could spend some of this money let us know.

Your application needs to be something that will clearly benefit young people and/or provide activities or facilities for your community.

You need to undertake some kind of award during the project and meet some of the government’s criteria

Grants up for grabs in Droylsden

Priorities/details: Do you run an organisation that works to improve Droylsden? If so, then help could be at hand from the Fair Share Trust in Droylsden which currently has over £200k available for community projects in the area. The Fair Share Trust in Droylsden has already awarded £214,400 over the last two years to various community projects. Groups in Droylsden that have recently benefited from funding through the Fair Share Trust include the Water Adventure Centre, Droylsden Youth Centre, Droylsden Little Theatre, Fairfield Moravian Church, Ashtree Leisure Garden Society and Littlemoss War Memorial Garden Trust. The average grant awarded so far is £16,500.

Who for? To be eligible for a grant from the Fair Share Trust in Droylsden groups must be involved in activity that reaches one of the key priorities identified for area. These priorities include activity that:
• Encourages local volunteers to get involved
Increase access to facilities, services and activities
Supports improvements to the local environment.
Organisations that can apply can be community and voluntary groups, charities or schools and statuary agencies where they provide non-statutory activities.

Grant amount: Groups can apply for a minimum of £5,000 to run projects that last between 1-3 years.

Neighbourhood Learning in Deprived Communities Funding

Priorities/details: Capital funding is available through LSC funding for Neighbourhood Learning in Deprived Communities (NLDC).
