Topaz at Mind courses

All courses open to adults aged 16 and over who live in the Tameside and Glossop area. Courses - £2.50 per session (unless stated below) - All courses to be
pre-booked and paid fully in advance on the first session. 0161 330 9223;

Visual Art Course – 3D Newspaper Animals – Mondays, 2pm-3.30pm (3 weeks with a week off for Easter Monday) – starts 30 March to 20 April.

Introduction to French – Thursdays, 10.30am-12noon (6 weeks) – starts 23 April to 25 June. Learn French in a relaxed atmosphere covering a variety of topics. (£1.50/session). There is also a French course starting this coming week as well for six weeks in a relaxed atmosphere covering a variety of topics. (£1.50/session)

Sculpture Modelling – Fridays, 1-2.30pm (8 weeks) – starts 17 April to 5 June. Work on producing your own sculpture models. Either bring your own ideas or chose from ideas created by the course facilitator. All materials
provided.

Complementary Treatments Sessions – 1-3pm. Friday 3 April: Reiki. Friday 24 April: Reflexology. Book ½hr sessions.

Art and Craft – Tuesdays, 10.30am-12.30pm (4 weeks) – starts 24 March to 21 April. Join in, have fun and experiment with any type of art and craft materials. All materials provided** Name change from Free Style Art to Art and Craft as there is a larger choice of art related activities, including craft based activities as well.

Beating the Blues – Thursdays, 4.30-5.30pm or 5.30-6.30pm (9 weeks). Computer based self help programme for mild depression and anxiety. (free)

Legs, Bums and Tums (Aerobics) – Mondays, 1.30-2.30pm – 23 March onwards. Get fit and lose weight to music. Join at any time. Run in conjunction with the Healthy Living Project. (£1.50/session)

Meditation for Life – relaxation – Tuesdays, 1-2pm (6 weeks) – starts 7 April to 12 May. Guided meditations to relive stress and anxiety with each session focusing on a specific issue e.g. self confidence, inner peace, self
motivation, etc.

Introduction to Iyengar Yoga – Wednesdays, 2-3.30pm (10 weeks) – starts 15 April to 1 July (no class 27. May). Gentle exercise at your own pace. Wear loose clothing. All equipment provided.
