Are We All
Equal?
22 April, Dukinfield Town Hall, 9.30am-3.15pm
A free, one day event for community groups and voluntary organisations providing
practical support, training and information to combat discrimination. Inspiring
speakers, discussion forums, panel questions and time to meet others will raise
awareness of the ‘equalities agenda and obligations’ so we can improve the way
we work and the protection of people’s rights. Make sure you don’t miss this
chance to discover the vision for equality and human rights in our work.

Tameside Arts Festival
The Tameside Arts Network
intends to organise a Tameside arts festival next year, and would like to get
everyone on board at an early stage. We are certainly aware of the problems in
putting together Tameside-wide events, but we are very keen to raise the profile
of the arts in Tameside, and we think that a 2010 arts festival could be an
excellent step along the way. It would be a Tameside Arts Network event, not a
council event, although we will have the council's Arts and Events Officer at
hand to advise.
We would therefore like to invite you, whatever area of the arts you might be
interested in, music, theatre, dance, painting, pottery, writing, etc. to join
us for a preliminary shortish planning meeting at the Portland Bistro on
Wednesday 1 April, 7-9pm. A light buffet will be provided. Apologies for the
short notice!
