Tendering training

Secrets of Successful Tendering
15 October, 10am - 4pm, St Thomas Centre, Manchester

Effective tendering requires an understanding of the legislative and practical background within which procurement is currently taking place and the processes which drive the tendering procedures.  www.navca.org.uk/events/secrets.htm

Tendering as a Consortium
5 November, 10am - 4pm, St Thomas Centre, Manchester

It is a general view that tendering as a consortium will provide a route to contracting for the delivery of services. It is important that potential consortium leaders and member organisations understand the systems and procedures which purchasers expect to be in place, how to minimise risk and how to assure purchasers that the contract will be delivered as specified. This one day focused training event will give you the insider information necessary to meet requirements. www.navca.org.uk/events/consortium.htm

Communities in Space: The Final Frontier
How to make your community hub accessible and welcoming to all

Thursday 27 November, 10.30am – 3pm at GMCVO, St Thomas Centre, Manchester

This is a special FREE event for volunteers and workers from Greater Manchester's community hubs. A hub is a place of neighbourhood activity, it could be community building, space, centre, facility or any other place run by a not-for-profit group.

Would you like to:

  • Improve your buildings accessibility?

  • Make sure you are meeting the needs of everyone in your community?

  • Find out how to reach new groups and extend your service?

  • Learn some tricks of the marketing trade?

There will be a focus on ways to make sure your hub is accessible, welcoming and open to everyone in your community. There will be practical workshops and tools to take away with you, expert speakers and case studies, networking opportunities, information sharing and more.

Lunch and refreshments will be provided. Places are free but must be booked in advance.
